Get Green Fest – Downtown Fort Wayne


The Get Green Fest, hosted by the Fort Wayne Professional Firefighters, is a full day of St. Patrick’s Day fun for the whole family.


When: March 14 from 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM

Where: Downtown Fort Wayne – 900 W Main St


The celebration includes a variety of exciting activities throughout the day:

5-Kilt Run/Walk – Starts at 9:30 AM

River Greening – Begins at 11:00 AM at the Main Street Bridge (Carole Lombard Memorial)

  •  In a tradition inspired by the Chicago River, Fort Wayne firefighters will turn the St. Marys River green using eco-friendly vegetable dye.

Gold Coin Drop for Kids – Begins at 12:00 PM 

  • leprechaun will drop gold coins from the ladder of a fire truck for kids to collect.

Lucky Charms Eating Contest – Starts at 1:00 PM

Throughout the day, a heated event tent will be open from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM featuring: Food and drinks, Kids activities, Live music, and Family-friendly entertainment


The event is free to attend, though some activities, food, and drinks may be available for purchase.
